1935-01-08~~1977-08-16，暱稱貓王（The Hillbilly Cat and King of the Western Bop），知名美國搖滾樂歌手與演員。普萊斯里出生於密西西比州圖珀洛（Tupelo, MS），曾經在德國美軍基地服役，與他同期的搖滾歌手還有Dean Martin、Bill Haley、Chuck Berry、Buddy Holly、Jerry Lee和Little Richard等。美國南方歌迷為他取的暱稱「The Hillbilly Cat」，意為「來自南方的小貓」。
